After winning a women’s World Cup super-G, Federica Brignone dedicated her victory to Italian teammate Elena Fanchini on Saturday. The 32-year-old Fanchini had to end her season because of a tumor, forcing her out of her fourth Olympics in Pyeongchang next month. “She is always with us; she is missing. Svindal Returns in a Strong Viking Display

It was a great day for Norway in the first men's speed race of the season with Kjetil Jansrud and Aksel Lund Svindal finishing first and second in a World Cup super-G on Friday. It was Svindal's first race since his serious knee injury 10 months ago. He says that the high standards and competition in training has helped him return strong. Dominik Paris finished third.
